Celebrating the 7th edition of the MoonTimer Multicultural Lunar Calendar for Women and Girls! |
Welcome back to my much loved returning customers,
and to all newcomers, thank you for visiting!
Update: my printing company had to close temporarily last week due to exposure to Covid (on top of already experiencing supply chain shortages hitting their paper stock.). I expect to be shipping calendars by Thursday, December 2nd. Thanks for your patience.
Due to the high cost of EVERYTHING this year, I am reducing the price of the calendars from $20 to $18. I am also offering discounted shipping on orders of 3 or more.
The messages that appear in the MoonTimer Calendar are not planned or scripted by me, as much as they are revealed to me. They are excavated, birthed and delivered from behind the veil.
Each month's image is assembled around a central character whose story unfolds according to a confluence of images that are graphically resonant. This non-linear process is intuitively driven.
I myself am often surprised, amused, or moved to tears by what shows up. The graphic elements have to find their own music, and this is how the meaning emerges. What I can only describe as "graphic jokes" show up from time to time, and I'm quite entertained by them. But there are also tragic events and more serious issues that must be acknowledged. As a voice for the collective feminine, the calendar must comment.
There's always a dedicated panel designed with the girls in mind; in this edition, it's March. The calendar could be a good conversation starter with teens, tweens, and the younger ones - the 'ladies in waiting'. It's so important that we project positive expectations to them, and acknowledge those who are crossing the threshold from childhood to adulthood, irrevocably announced by the arrival of MoonTime. This calendar is a great way to honor them, or any woman in your life.
What is MoonTiming? It is the gift to us from our ancestral Grandmothers for regulating the cycle, which allows us a basis from which to address any other issues concerning our fertility or reproductive health. This method will work from the time a girl starts ovulating (a few years in from crossing the threshold). It's eminently practical, because when synchronized to the moon, we have a far more precise means of forecasting our next moontime - and that is very good news for a girl just beginning to manage this new phenomenon in her life, or for any busy woman (and don't most of us fit that description?). Best of all, this nature-based strategy has No Harmful Side Effects! Grandmother Tested and Approved for over 25,000 Years! Suitable for Goddess of All Ages!
I have noticed that other people may interpret the messages in the calendars quite differently than I do, and hope this means that the images contain sufficient archetypal 'charge' to speak the language of the viewer's internal landscape. Click on the images to enlarge them. I hope they speak to you lovingly.
In the past, I have been able to donate calendars to low-income women and girls, who are served by my colleagues in non-profit agencies. If you would like to help, you can do so here: Donate calendars to our Sisters
I was also asked by a customer to put a donation button for myself, because she wants to support my work in general! Such generosity never fails to amaze! Until I engage in yet another arm-wrestling match with Paypal (blah), I can accept donations (call it a Tip Jar) by Venmo at address kathryn-harris-56. And I surely am most grateful to you 💓.
And now, on with the show.
For those unfamiliar, each calendar has its own 'down-sheet', where you can write in your appointments (if you actually use a calendar the old-school way). Each down-sheet has a host of odd, zany holidays you've possibly never hear of. But almost all of them are real (I admit to making up a few). I give an example for January, just to give you the idea.
Morning at the Martinique Mart, or, Pedicure Day at the Beach |
The moon phases through the month are emphasized in the down-sheet as well, to help with pattern recognition. |
The Moon's First Kiss (...comes in its own time to every girl). |
I will shortly post a list of shops that will carry MoonTimers -- my vendors have the most marvelous boutiques for all your unique and unusual gift needs.
The price is has been reduced to $18 per calendar, to help you, my customer, in the face of the difficult economic conditions that now prevail. I use media mail to keep shipping costs low, so allow 10-14 days for delivery. Orders of more than 3 calendars pay shipping costs that are further reduced. If you are within Denver metro area we can meet up instead (choose 'pickup' in the shipping options). Taxes will be applied at checkout. Remember, a calendar is also appropriate to give at New Year's - it's the gift that keeps giving all year long!
Thank you, bless you, and I wish you Many Moons still to come.
